Kadarius Toney
Size: 6′ Weight:193
Strengths
+ Lightning quick
+ Hard to bring down after the catch
+ Reliable hands
+ Change of direction
Weaknesses
-Mostly a slot WR
-Only one year of great production
Breakdown
Toney is a seriously shifty WR that creates big separation in routes. His movements seem almost sporadic at times, but are actually calculated and precise. These (sporadic)hop and skip steps get defenders tangled, allowing for big separation. Toney runs after the catch like a mad man, refusing to be taken down. Utilizing his juke, change of direction and even running defending over. He has solid hands and will go up for the ball, but isn’t a throw it up – jump ball type. He does the most damage in the slot but can shift outside. He is listed as 6 feet but looks smaller on the field.
Toney will create some nightmares for slot corners in the NFL, he has a great combination of quickness and heart. He always gives 100% effort and will make coaches happy. His only one year of great production doesn’t concern me much, what you see on film is obvious, his movement skills are rare. Since he is mostly a slot WR and not a massive target, he slips into the mid-to end of first round.
