THE BREAKDOWN
First and foremost ADDISON is an elite deep threat and that alone constitutes a first round pick. He has deep speed and lateral quickness which makes him hard to defend – allowing him to set up defenders and get open deep. He locates and tracks the ball very well, working his way back tot he football when needed. Will occasionally let the ball come into the bucket – but typically attacks the ball at the highest point. Displays impressive body control and vertical when going up for jump balls – making him play bigger than his size.
His thin frame causes some concern going across the middle and up against press man. Typically lines up in the slot because of this, but has good ball skills which should allow him to play outside periodically in the NFL.
ADDISON has had success on two different teams – in different systems and play competition. And he has produced on both teams – which is a good indicator that he can produce in the NFL. ADDISON would be best as the final piece to the puzzle for some NFL teams – looking for that explosive deep threat that open ups the offense. He could have the Desean Jackson effect for any team – but I do think ADDISON is a more complete WR than people might give him credit for.
