THE BREAKDOWN

If it came down to pure ability – RICHARDSON would be he #1 pick in the draft. He is built like fullback, with the speed of a running back and a howitzer for an arm. Honestly might be one of the best pure prospects I have ever seen – in comparison to Malik Willis – RICHARDSON has better raw talent.

The problem is he is very inconsistent with his accuracy and ball placement. Although the accuracy is there – it just needs some mechanical work for more consistency – much like Josh Allen. In addition, he needs to progress through reads much faster – his average time to throw is a little too high – although it is inflated slightly because he can extend plays. I would like him to stand in the pocket a little longer when there is no pressure and go through the reads methodically. In my opinion, he would benefit from staying in college an other year to work on his craft – and learn the offense inside and out. If he can bounce back with higher efficiency – it could propel RICHARDSON to the 1st overall pick.

I really don’t have a problem with a team taking a swing on RICHARDSON in the first round. He has that kind of skill se that just can’t be taught. And has shown the flashes that would make coaches drool – if the coach actually knows how to use RICHARDSON to his strengths and build an offense around him.
