Jeremiah Owusu

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah plays like a guided missile – locked onto the ball. With a lightning quick burst he can close the gap in a heartbeat, or break on balls while in coverage. Blows up screen passes and meets the blocker at the point of attack. A natural playmaker, always around the ball and creating havoc. He plays well in space, often lining up in the slot where he blitzes off the edge or stays in coverage. With his size and skill set it, he could have troubles playing inside LB and it would really be wasting his talents. It would be best to keep him freed up from the big blockers. Owusu has a relentless motor, never giving up on the play, keeping good pursuit angles often rewards him with big hits at full speed. He approaches the ball carrier at such speed that he can’t even break down in time, having to gamble and lunge at a side. Resulting in missed tackles in the open field if the ball carrier can react in time. 

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is an impact player that will make big plays regularly. He can’t play LB in every system, he will need to be put into position to be successful. He would play Will LB shaded outside with some beefy defensive lineman to free him up. Or potentially as an in the box strong safety on 1st/2nd down and linebacker on passing downs. Utilizing a lot of different blitz packages – allowing the human missile to fire. Despite the system limitations, Owusu is such a gifted playmaker that he merits a top 15 draft stock.
