ELITE-6’5ft and played on the basketball team for USC – pretty much as good as it gets. Besides the fact he could use a few more pounds.
GOOD – Fluid in and out of his breaks solid change of direction. Decent deep speed with his long strides – but not a burner. Will need to test well to become a top 10 pick.
GOOD – His fluidity helps him evade defenders and gain some yards after the catch. His frame allows him hard to take down – often falling forward for the first down.
GOOD – Can run the entire route tree – very impressive for his size. Not just a deep jump ball type threat. Not quick enough to be elite – but can get good separation combined with the large catch radius allows him to get open.
GOOD – Will occasionally have concentration drops – but uses his hands well to attack the ball. Naturally plucking it from the air, avoiding body catches.
THE BREAKDOWN
I was surprised to see how fluid DRAKE LONDON is on tape. I was not expecting him to be a fluid route runner that can go in and out of breaks with such ease at 6’5ft. Typically these taller WR’s are sorta one prick ponies that specialize in jump balls. In addition he does have natural hands that utilize his large catch radius – some big guys are still just body catchers. That why DRAKE is a top 10 player. He has a rare skill set – combining size/change of direction with good hands.
Scary thing is that DRAKE might be still unlocking his full potential. He is a duel athlete whom was also a member of the USC basketball team. Now that he has 100% focus on football – he might has the most potential of all WR’s when considering his rare body type.
