Breakdown
Felton is an electrifying runner that fits the mold of the pass happy NFL. The former WR is a smooth strider that set up defenders to look silly in the open field. A crisp route runner that will be a match up nightmare against linebackers. Able to hit it big on any play, and adds value as a return specialist. Felton only weighs 200lbs pounds, he won’t run well between the tackles in I-Formation.
Typically I don’t value under 200lb running backs high in the draft, the exception is if they have some special or elite ability. Felton is the exception, his receiving skills and running style remind me of current Saints superstar Alvin Kamara. The both have great speed and seem to glide in the open field, in addition to having exceptional receiving skills. Kamara weighs in at 215lbs, having 25lbs on Felton without sacrificing speed. That combination makes Kamara one of the best in the NFL. That weight discrepancy is why Felton drops to near 2nd round, but he does have enough weight and power to play running back in a rotation, switching to slot WR seamlessly. Felton has potential to be a duel threat that can rack up 1000 all purpose yards in a hurry.
