ELITE-6′ is unlikely once we get official measurements, but QB size has become less important in recent years. Slight frame as well, wont be a threat to bull over defneders on short yardage.
GOOD – Fluid in the pocket, can maneuvers with ease and evade defenders when to extend plays.
GOOD – I wouldn’t say it is elite but he has plenty of zip on the ball and can make every NFL throw.
GOOD – Near Elite level, can improve on consistency.
ELITE– What sets him apart from most QB prospects. He is NFL ready with his play recognition, rhythm and overall command of the offense.
THE BREAKDOWN
One of the top recruits and has lived up to expectations. Despite the lack of size, he has a strong arm with a good delivery. Stays calm in the pocket and can sense pressure without panicking. Very good accuracy but can be more consistent, especially with the easy throws.
The problem is, eye popping stats on a loaded Alabama team just doesn’t have the same merit as on other teams. Bama has produced a few QB’s in recent years, such as TUA, MAC and HURTS. All have looked great. Mac Jones put up 41TD’s to 4INTs.
The point is, none of the previous guys have been ELITE in the NFL yet. So the questions is, will Bryce be elite or an other mid tier NFL starter? He has the best tools and pedigree out of the bunch. Either way, the low floor is worth a high draft pick and is a safe option.
