THE BREAKDOWN
Ibrahim is an explosive runner that is quicker than fast – with great leg strength and vision, he simply just refuses to go down. A violent runner with a low center of gravity makes it difficult for defenders to get under him, resulting in an abundance of broken arm tackles and spinning off would be tacklers. He lacks elite speed and size, but has enough quickness and power to chip away at a defense by moving the chains 10 yards at a time.
IBRAHIM could have declared what seems like years ago but decided to come back for an other – then got injured for the entire year. He has bounced back and proved he is healthy – but at the cost of more wear and tear. He will be an older prospect by NFL RB standards and it certainly will drop his draft stock.
This draft is loaded with running back depth but I have no problem with a team picking Ibrahim early day 3. HE is NFL ready and with the right opportunity, we could see some big numbers put up as a rookie. Or see him as a part of a back field by committee – or back up that doesn’t miss a beat when called upon.
