THE BREAKDOWN
Elite prospect with elite production – has nearly everything you would want in a running back. Good size and power allows him to pick up short yardage and fight for extra yards. Easily and routinely breaks arm tackles. Most impressive is that his size does not limit his agility and elusiveness – he can make defenders miss in small spaces.
The biggest knocks on ROBINSON is his speed ELITE? His burst is better than the top end speed. And he is a violent and reckless runner at times – in addition he has received a big volume of carries since his freshmen year. No doubt he has been very durable, but a concern may be wear and tear in the future. The position has a shorter shelf life than all positions in the NFL.
The weaknesses are nit picking, but when you have such a good prospect – the smaller issues are the concerns.
Positional value and RB career length will play a role in Robinson’s draft stock but regardless his potential is elite. In the right situation he could storm into the NFL immediately become a league leader and impact player.
