WILL ANDERSON

Elite production from a young age – one of the most explosive edge rushers in recent memory. If you were to look at ANDERSON one would not think he is capable of what he is on the football field. He lacks the elite size of a top 5 pick – but makes up for it with his athletic ability and technique. Utilizing good hands and pass rush moves to surprise blockers. His leverage and explosion converts into power, getting underneath blockers. Excellent at stunts allowing him to come from any angle. 

ANDERSON might have troubles in the NFL with run defense. He will always make splash plays but consistently holding an edge or sinking a double team will be difficult at his size. In addition, he was guilty of too many mental errors in 2022 – being penalized often. Cleaning up missed tackles would be ideal – but he has an aggressive play style – and you want him to be attacking, so his negatives aren’t anything that would warrant much concern.

At the end of the day ANDERSON will be asked to get after the QB and disrupt the backfield. and that is what he does best. His resume speaks for itself – the only concern is his lack of elite size for the position. Regardless, he should be considered a top 5 selection.
