WEAKNESSES

-Slight frame

-Average at the point of attack

-One year of production

SIZE 86%

GOOD– At 6’2ft he has good length and a long stride but has a slight frame for over the middle. Fortunately, the NFL has tightened up on hitting defenseless WR’s so it is not as big as an issue as it once was.

SPEED 98%

ELITE – Blows by double coverage in college, elite speed that is a touchdown threat on any down.

YAC 90%

GOOD –  Is not just a straight line speed guy, he does have lateral quickness and change of direction.  Able to make the first guy miss and use his speed to outrun pursuit and poor angles.

ROUTE RUNNING 92%

ELITE– As mentioned, he is very fluid in and out of his breaks. Can run the entire route tree and make defenders look silly. Combined with elite speed – he is hard to cover.

HANDS 84%

GOOD – His biggest weakness may be his hands. Not that they are bad, but he could do better high pointing the ball/at the point of attack. But they are solid and doesn’t drop very many.

BREAKDOWN

After being at the bottom of the depth chart of Ohio State because of their immense WR talent JAMESON WILLIAMS decided to transfer to Alabama. Turned out to be a multi-million dollar decision, as he has racked up over 1500 yards this year and probable should have won the Biletnikoff award.

He has a rare skill set of size/speed/and fluid movement skills that don’t come around very often. Imagine a taller Desean Jackson – that is his kind of potential. He could use his length a little better by high pointing the ball but rarely has to – since he is usually past the defenders and tracking the ball over the shoulder. But it would be nice to see him come a complete WR with slightly stronger hands and able to go over the middle. Still, his hands are solid and he doesn’t drop the ball often – it is mostly just nitpicking a talented WR.
