LATE 1ST
TREYLON BURKS
STRENGTHS
+ Explosive speed
+ Solid build
+ YAC
+ Strong hands
+ Big play threat
WEAKNESSES
-Tight hips
-Average route runner
-High pointing the ball
ELITE– Tall with a solid frame standing at 6’3ft and 225lbs – can do it all with that size.
ELITE– Elite burst with deep speed. Can take a screen pass and get upfield in a flash – doesn’t have Jameson Williams top end speed but is still a burner.
GOOD – With his size and speed combo – BURKS is hard to take down. Running through arm tackles and out running defenders. Used on screens or slants – he can be dangerous after the catch.
OKAY – He is a little tight hipped – built for straight line speed more than change of direction. This doesn’t help him run the cleanest routes. His speed one cut explosiveness helps him get separation than anything.
GOOD– Strong hands through contact – making it difficult for defenders to rip the ball out. Could get better at high pointing the ball utilizing his vertical leap.
BREAK DOWN
Super explosive talent that is almost a mix of AJ Brown and DK Metcalf in one player. Which is a scary thought… He is tightly wound build for exploding forward. Very physical WR that can gain the YAC yards in a hurry but also a down the field threat. Solid hands that the ball seems to stick to once the ball makes contact. He could get better at high pointing the ball – he reaching out with his long arms but fails to attack the ball at his highest potential.
An other WR with very high potential – built to dominate match ups. He will be very hard to stop – but still needs slightly more polish to be considered at top 10 at this point. On the right team – that can be creative and get TREYLON BURKS involved in the game plan via screen/slant and attack downfield – he has the chance to really break out as a 1000 yard WR in year one.
