THE BREAKDOWN
The transfer to UCLA paid off for CHARBONNET as he has took over as the bell bow back. Ideal size for an every down RB in the NFL. Runs a little upright in the open field but runs hard and gets low on impact for tough yards. Quick feet enable him to jump cut into open lanes – using hard cuts to break arm tackles. Fast enough to break big gains and outpace linebackers. Has tight hips and lacks true change of direction ability. Which limits his route tree but he does have good hands when called upon.
CHARBONNET is at his best moving down hill with speed. He can set up defenders with quick one cuts – because they have to respect his power. Very efficient runner that gets yard after contact but has enough elusiveness to break big gains.
He is a little scheme specific but is a starting 3 down back in a run heavy offense – it is difficult to find RB with his size/speed and footwork.
